Grimmer Motors WILL remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic (as we help keep vehicles operating for essential work purposes )
Learn about the precautions we are taking to protect our customers and staff here.

On the 21st of March 2020, the New Zealand Government released a four-stage alert system for coronavirus (COVID-19). This system enforces certain rules in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Currently, New Zealand is at alert level 2 – reduce contact.

At 1.45pm on 23 March 2020, the NZ Govt Stage 3 enforced Level 3, the closing of some non-essential businesses in New Zealand. Level stage 4 has been activated for 48 hours from the Level 3 announcement (48 hours after 1.45pm on 23 March 2020), meaning all non-essential businesses must be closed at that time.

At 9.41pm on 23 March 2020, the Motor Trade Association emailed us to let us know that the New Government had extended it’s list of Essential services to include “any entity that keeps vehicles operating for essential work purposes”.
